Job Summary

As a member of the Honduras Program (CP) Senior Management Team, the Head of Operations is responsible for providing leadership and management of the operational functions - Finance, Human Resources (HR), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Administration, Logistic-SCM, Security, Information and Communication Technology, and Audit - in support of the CRS mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will promote stewardship of resources, ensure principled compliance, proactively manage risk, prevent fraud, and lead (continuous) operational improvements including from a Climate Action lens. Your leadership, management, and knowledge will ensure that the CP delivers high-quality operational services to projects and continuously works towards improving the quality of CRS programming. The Honduras Head of Operations will supervise the Finance Manager, Procurement Manager, the Operations and Security Senior Officer, the Legal and Administration officer, the Risk and Compliance Officer and others as Logistic personnel, according to changes in the CRS Honduras portfolio and will coordinate with the Human Resources Senior Officer and the Partners Safeguarding-SDPP-FCRM senior Officer. As part of the SMT you will proactively manage and mitigate financial, operational, safeguarding and security risks.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the CRS Honduras strategic planning and programming on needed investments in operations capacity – systems, processes and staffing – that meet CRS’ standards, donor requirements, and local regulations and support high-quality programming. Represent CRS, as needed and together with SMT, lead and model the commitment for the implementation of LACRO value proposition in Honduras.

Plan, integrate, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure all support services are delivered with high-quality in an efficient manner. Address issues where operations support needs to be adapted for complex programming. Oversee and lead the piloting of new operations initiatives that require the setting of new standards and systems, especially in a complex financial environment, and changing donor priorities and requirements.
