Senior Storage Infrastructure Specialist — L3 / Lead Experience: 5+ Years Role Overview We are seeking an L3 Storage Infrastructure Specialist / Storage Lead with deep expertise in IBM DS8000, enterprise SAN architecture, storage replication, IBM iSeries/Power Systems, and cyber-resilience. This role will provide advanced technical leadership for mission-critical banking storage infrastructure across Production, DR, and Cyber Vault environments. Key Responsibilities

Provide L3 technical ownership of enterprise IBM DS8000 storage infrastructure.

Lead complex storage architecture, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.

Design and manage Metro Mirror / Global Mirror replication strategies.

Lead storage-related DR failover, failback, and recovery exercises.

Analyze complex replication, consistency, performance, and capacity issues.

Provide advanced administration of Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN fabrics.

Design and troubleshoot:

SAN zoning

VSAN architecture

ISLs

Fibre Channel connectivity

Multipathing

SAN resiliency

Lead Brocade configuration and advanced MAPS policy management.

Lead storage integration and performance optimization for IBM i/Power Systems.

Own storage firmware upgrades, lifecycle management, and technology refresh activities.

Provide technical leadership for Cyber Vault, immutable storage, and ransomware recovery capabilities.

Define and improve storage architecture, operational standards, and resiliency controls.

Lead root-cause analysis for critical storage and SAN incidents.

Act as the senior escalation point for L1/L2 storage teams.

Review and approve complex storage changes and implementation plans.

Develop and maintain DR strategies, runbooks, recovery procedures, and technical standards.

Partner with infrastructure, security, application, DR, and audit teams.

Support banking compliance, audit, resilience, and business-continuity requirements.

Identify opportunities for automation using Python, Shell, or Ansible.

Participate in major incident management and 24x7 escalation support.

Required Skills

Expert-level IBM DS8000 / DS8K administration and troubleshooting.

Expert Metro Mirror / Global Mirror knowledge.

Strong IBM i / AS400 / Power Systems storage experience.

Advanced Cisco MDS SAN administration.

Advanced Brocade SAN administration.

SAN architecture, zoning, VSANs, ISLs, Fibre Channel, and multipathing.

Enterprise DR, replication, failover/failback, and business continuity.

Storage performance engineering and capacity planning.

Cyber Vault, immutable storage, and ransomware recovery concepts.

Advanced incident/problem management and RCA.

IBM Storage Insights.

Strong technical documentation and runbook development.
